SEED Meditation with Jules Green

There are various ways to meditate, and you’ll learn about many of them. You’ll discover the basics of successful meditation, what meditation is, what it isn’t, experiences you might have, the five essentials of a successful practice, and the many benefits that will unfold for you when you learn to meditate.

The mainstay of the program is a meditation technique Learn how to meditate with an expertthat has you focus on your breath and a silent sound, or mantra, that helps you to direct your attention inward and go beyond your thoughts to re-connect with your center point of peace. The technique is powerful yet simple to do, and easy to keep doing.

The Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation method includes:

Balancing Breath Technique Body Awareness Technique Breath Awareness Meditation Heart-Centered Breath Self-Inquiry Practice Silent Sound (mantra) Meditation

You’ll also learn about:

Mindfulness Practices Peacefinder Practices

This collection of practices is called the SEED Meditation method: S for simple, E for easy, E for every, and D for day. Meditating is like planting a seed – an intention – and watching it grow. These practices are truly the only ones you’ll ever need for the rest of your life.

You’ll discover how easy it is to use any meditation technique, and the method you’ll learn is so effective and universal that you can use it for the rest of your life. Discover a meditation that you can do easily without having to listen to recordings, without having to be guided, and without having to join a religious or spiritual group. You’ll go home and create your own personal practice. By the end of our course together you will have everything you need to continue as a self-sufficient meditator. If at any time you feel you need some extra support, you are welcome to contact me and to come back to retake the course again, whenever I am offering the intro course, at no extra charge.

It is highly recommended that you attend the Free Intro to Meditation that is offered each month, but you there is no prerequisite to join this meditation class.

Cost: $275.00 for the 2 day course, (approximately two and a half hours each day) as well as unlimited follow-up. You are welcome to attend any SEED Meditation class that I teach again for free, whenever you feel like you would like a refresher or would simply like to hear it again and enjoy a group meditation. Personal Accountability Coaching is also available at an additional cost, which includes regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings with Jules.

Somatic Movement & Yoga Workshop
Sep

4:30 PM16:30

Somatic Movement & Yoga Workshop

Somatic movement is movement generated from within the body in conjunction with breath and from an organic place.  In other words, it allows each participant the freedom to let go of the concepts of body contortions to “look” a certain way (such as in a ballet, jazz or modern class) and to simply allow the body to move.

In this workshop we’ll first focus on warming up and  freeing the body through moving stretches taken from yoga, Pilates, modern dance technique and t’ai chi.  We’ll move while connecting breath, establishing our center and grounding ourselves in our own body.  Then we’ll move into finding our individual organic movement, with yoga sequences in between to help stretch and ground us.  Together the combination of freeing your body (and mind) to allow your authentic movement to occur and re-grounding the body to familiar yoga poses creates a dynamic yin-yang, a balance, and an opportunity to leave feeling more comfortable in your skin and grounded in your breath.

Please note, there is no “wrong” way to approach this type of work, and no dance experience is expected or necessary.  Everyone is welcome and will be supported in our safe space.

Night of Movement & Yoga (Release Stress & Refocus)

“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.”  - Vincent Van Gogh

Our night self is different from our day self.  Our night self is allowed to come alive with less stress, less baggage from the “real world,” and more willingness to explore.  Come embrace your night self through a combination of tension releasing yoga series and movement exercises.  Release whatever is not serving you, let go of things keeping you stuck in one place and then move into a place of empowerment and possibility.  We’ll allow our bold night selves the freedom to explore movement and invite a refocused intention to fill us through movement exercises and grounding yoga postures.  Fall is a wonderful time to release what we don’t need and invite in positive intentions.  Join us for a night of both release and refocusing.

Please note, time will be given for journaling.  Feel free to bring your own journal and/or writing utensil which is meaningful to you.

The Full Moon  is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies. With this potent energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. Through movement and yoga asana (poses) we will explore physical sensation in hope of awakening your deepest desires to manifest on this blue moon. Our flow for the evening is accessible to all skill levels and beginner yogis are very welcome.

Energy Series - 6 Week Workshop

This 6 week series runs every Tuesday June 16th- July 14th from 5:30-6:45pm

Week 1: Discovering Your Energetic Body

We will begin our practice with a 'mindfulness of the body' meditation. Please expect to move with your breath through a few basic poses, be prepared for seated poses, mudras (hand yoga), a short discussion on focusing your attention, and the benefits of meditation.

Week 2: The Hindu Chakra System (Growing Your Foundation)

This week will be a Hatha style yoga flow with standing and seated asanas meant to increase your understanding of the three lower level chakras. This class begins with a meditation, moves through stabilizing standing poses, grounding seated poses, and ends with a short lower level chakra meditation.

Week 3: The Hindu Chakra System (Speaking Your Truth)

This week we will explore Bija Mantras, or seed sounds as we move through the final four chakras in the Hindu Chakra System. Please expect a Yin/Yang style flow with movement connected to breath and sound.

Week 4: Mindful Meridians: Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine

This week is a Yin/restorative flow which explores Traditional Chinese Medicine and the meridian system. Expect some self-massage and reflexology techniques.

Week 5: Ayurveda: an Ancient Indian Holistic Health Care System

In Ayurvedic medicine all people are divided into three Dosha types: Vata, Pitta, or Kapha. We are all a little bit of everything, but when we know how our mind/body works based on these categories we can learn how to properly balance, cope, and prevent disease in the body. This week we'll discover our dosha type and explore yoga poses based on balancing your dosha for health.

Week 6: The Prana Vayus

'Prana' means life force, or energy. 'Vayu' means wind. The prana vayus are the five movements (winds) or functions of your prana (life force energy). This week, through vigorous practice, restorative asana, and meditation we will close our series by exploring the different areas of the body governed by prana vayu, apana vayu, samana vayu, udana vayu, and vyana vayu.
